When Blood Honey members Kevin and Jackie first met, they bonded over their music taste. Kevin was studying cognitive neuroscience but ultimately dropped out of a PhD program to chase after his dream of playing music. Jackie had been struggling to live on her own after being kicked out at 18, but eventually gave into her parents' wishes and went back to school. However, an Ovarian Cancer diagnosis forced Jackie to drop out. A long, hard battle resulted in the loss of both her ovaries but also resulted in the start of Blood Honey.
Since the release of their debut single in early 2021, the burgeoning duo have seen a steady rise in fans on a weekly basis and have garnered over 44K streams thus far.

This original instrumental piece is an elegy to mourn all of the people, places, events, and sheer time that we have all lost as a result of the worldwide coronavirus pandemic in 2020. It was meant to be sad and haunting, but still colored by a ray of hope for the return of better, safer times. "Lament For What We've Lost" was initially commissioned by Tosca Rivola for her incredibly beautiful and moving short film about 2020, "2020ism."

Koi Anunta is the founding and sole permanent member of In Love & WAR (#ILAW). She is a Yale graduate and medical doctor who gave up medicine to pursue her love of music full-time in Los Angeles.
Koi was classically trained in piano since the age of 4 and violin since the age of 8, and has perfect pitch. Despite her classical roots, she is heavily influenced by iconic bands such as Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Garbage, Portishead, Massive Attack, and Tori Amos.
"Lament For What We've Lost" is the newest, all-instrumental release for ILAW (Nov 18, 2020). Koi wrote, played, and produced all the piano and violin on this track. It is a haunting elegy for what we have all suffered and lost in the past year, but with an uplifting ray of hope running throughout for better times to come. The accompanying YouTube music video here (https://youtu.be/u-4Q7-cyyqg) showcases placards of many major 2020 events, including #BLM.
Although Koi has since contributed strings or keys to countless other artists’ recordings as a professional musician, and always continued to write songs for her own personal benefit, she never felt completely comfortable showing anyone her original work or singing solo in public until 2018, when she met a Capitol Records producer in Los Angeles who insisted on hearing one of her private song demos. His unwavering belief in her talent encouraged her to rediscover her voice. Thus, the debut In Love & WAR EP, Tessitura (2019), was born as the result of essentially a lifetime of melodies and lyrics that were always held back in fear—until now. The six songs on Tessitura represent a search for identity, love, meaning and truth in a world full of uncertainty and deception. It is an elaborate, yet desolate soundscape that is part trip-hop and part symphony.
Koi performed all the vocals and played/programmed all the instruments on Tessitura with the exception of the drums (Mike Diggs), and on the track “Tell Me You’ll be There,” guitar (Jake Faun) and flute (Ricky Berger).
Tessitura was produced by Koi Anunta, mixed by Ali Nikou, and mastered by Andrew Balogh.

Nach der Schauspielausbildung und Rollen u. a. in der ARD-Serie „Mordkommission Istanbul“ wurde der schweizerisch-türkische Künstler an der Popschule Berlin, der Sängerakademie Hamburg sowie der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste ausgebildet. Neben Auftritten als Tänzer für Madonna und Robert Miles veröffentlichte er eigene Tracks und performte im Berliner SO36, beim Christopher Street Day in Zürich sowie auf dem M4Music Festival, wo sein Demo in der Kategorie „Best Pop“ nominiert wurde. Sein Track „Pehlivan“ war auf der Compilation „Listen to Berlin“ und für den Publikumspreis nominiert, das dazugehörige Video war in der Auswahl für „Bestes Musikvideo“ des Filmfestivals Basel. Zuletzt war er als Schauspieler in der Amazon-Serie „Für Umme“ zu sehen.

We created it, It's so valuable, and we all have a limited amount. When I was quarantined for 4 months alone time began to move in a way I have never experienced before. "I wrote “Horrors in the Dark” after my mother lost her brother to suicide, which was and remains unbearably hard. My uncle was a towering figure and a gentle soul, wise and compassionate. The third verse is an homage to him, who we lost far too early, and to the power of his life and legacy. His passing and the grief of all the people who loved him made me think about how we all have some kind of trauma inside of us that never fully heals. The kind of pain that is very difficult to even talk about. “Horrors” uses metaphors to convey how we dance around our deepest fears that we sometimes twist into something else entirely in our minds because they’re too painful to face head on. But these dark things in our lives are still always a part of us.

“Daydream” is the third release from the group’s forthcoming debut LP titled ‘Out Here,’ scheduled for release later in 2021. The single comes on the heels of their previous release “You” which was released in March of 2021.
"Daydream" was originally recorded in 2019 alongside co-producer Daniel Nentwig of The Whitest Boy Alive. The song, along with the entire ‘Out Here’ album, was recorded live alongside a full band at Butterama Recording Studios in Berlin. Melodically, “Daydream” features smooth rhythm, soft keys, warm vocals and uplifting strings. The song feels like a sultry fireside dream pop tune with jazz influenced undertones.
Comprised of Argentinian songwriters Luca Oliva Knight and Tomas Susevich, Abc Dialect have quickly emerged as a promising independent musical project. The young beatmakers draw on their diverse musical influences (including 90s house, 70s funk, soulful jazz, R&B, & more) to craft original thought-provoking melodies that evoke a sense of emotions including nostalgia, euphoria, empathy, sorrow and more.
Towards the end of 2019, Abc Dialect travelled to Berlin to record their debut album “Out Here” co-produced by Daniel Nentwig of The Whitest Boy Alive and Kings of Convenience. “In a lot of ways, ‘Painless’ is a continuation of the story I had told in my debut single, ‘Years Ago’,” says Kaeley. “All of my songs are sparked from my own personal experiences, and in this case, I had more to say on that particular chapter of my life. Where ‘Years Ago’ looks wistfully into the past at what could have been, ‘Painless’ is a seer’s look into a dystopian future. Also released is the colourful and creatively shot video for ‘Painless’. Kaeley explains: “The pandemic really forced us to get creative with how we shot the video. While I had always envisioned a project that combined my skills as a multidisciplinary artist, figuring out how to achieve that while being forced to work with a lot of limitations proved to be an exciting challenge. We shot the entire video in a mock studio we built in my dad’s shop, and we had a very small crew on set, with my cohort doing most of the helping out.”
Since dropping her debut single in January 2020, Kaeley has been making waves in the Canadian music scene. After a strong community response, ‘Years Ago’ was added to the regular rotation on 102.3 NOW! in Edmonton and her music has been featured on Spotify editorial playlists including: New Music Friday, New Music Friday Canada and Fresh Finds. Kaeley’s music has also been played on Indigenous radio stations across North America, and her single, ‘Highway 16’, broke the Indigenous Music Countdown Top 10.
