Lyrics of Jake Adler – Glass Half Full

In life some people live in black and white
And some people feel in black and blue

Yeah some folks are like a cigarette
Cause they burn bright fast, then they’re gone too soon

It ain’t my fault
I carry my heart on my sleeve like an old tattoo
Like Sunday church
You done sat me in the front and changed my view

I ain’t never seen a storm roll in that the calm in your eyes couldn’t cut right through
Yeah, I ain’t never read a bible verse where the Holy Ghost don’t sound just like you
Done stopped my heart, from pullin’ apart at the seams like it always do
When life gets hard, I’ll take a sip
Of a glass half full of you

In life most folks’ll make it 80 years
And with luck you’ll get a couple more
And hell, I know I would have wasted em’ all
If you hadn’t walked right up through that door

It ain’t my fault
I carry the weight of the world like it’s chained to me
You broke my fall
like an angel heaven sent that rescued me

I ain’t never seen a storm roll in that the calm in your eyes couldn’t cut right through
Yeah, I ain’t never read a bible verse where the Holy Ghost don’t sound just like you
Done stopped my heart, from pullin’ apart at the seams like it always do
When life gets hard, I’ll take a sip
Of a glass half full of you

Done stopped my heart, from pullin’ apart at the seams like it always do
For what it’s worth, I ain’t never met an angel quite like you

I ain’t never seen a storm roll in that the calm in your eyes couldn’t cut right through
Yeah, I ain’t never spent a day on earth, where the sun didn’t shine down bright as you
Done stopped my heart, from pullin’ apart at the seams like it always do
When life gets hard, I’ll take a sip
Of a glass half full of you
