(Los Angeles, CA – April 29, 2022) – After shaking things up with her latest single “Out of Control”, teen singing sensation Vella is sharing the music video for the fan favorite record. Up until now, Vella has been delivering retro inspired hits that show off her vocal prowess. Now, the 18-year-old force to be reckoned with is pushing her sound even further and proving she is here to stay.

Out of Control combines Vella’s signature soulful tone with a more modern pop sound to create luscious soundscape that ranges from soaring and powerful highs to warm and bellowing lows.

In her own words, “Out Of Control’ is really a song about not being able to control

your feelings. You see things one way, but your heart sees them another way, so you’re spinning Out Of Control”.

This is Vella’s first release of 2022 and it is being released on the heels of a very successful 2021, in which she began releasing her original music after going viral on TikTok, and amassed millions of streams across platforms. Out of Control is the beginning of a new era for Vella and will lead to her full-length project, slated to release later this year.

Organ Recital is announced for a July 22nd release date on Gearbox Records, and today Bastien Keb shares the first single “Pasadena”. Laid out over busted late night electro-soul, the track recalls fading memories of intimate encounters.

Weaving an imaginative melange of psychedelic-chamber-funk, warped anti-ballads and cinematic instrumentals; Organ Recital is the fourth album by the singular Bastien Keb and a follow up to 2020’s acclaimed The Killing of Eugene Peeps.

Conceived as a fantasy world to escape self-doubt and loneliness, fragments from everyday life continue to bleed through the cracks of reality – the harmony from a distant car alarm, someone’s headphones on the night bus, rain on leaky roof, a decaying siren – to produce a dreamlike journey pieced together from half-imagined memories and late night inner-voice conversations.

Major Spark is Mark Goodman and producer Brian Charles. Their debut album Beautiful Noise is a stirring amalgam of garage rock, power pop, psychedelia, and synth-drenched textural soundscapes, all lovingly detailed, sturdily composed, and immediately catchy. Mark and Brian used drum loops and improvisational techniques to break free of their solid backgrounds producing dozens of indie rock albums.

Mark previously formed Magnet in 1995 when Moe Tucker from the Velvet Underground agreed to dust off her drums from the VU European reunion tour to record a full length titled Don’t Be a Penguin (PC Music/ADA). Mark also teamed with other talented musicians such as David Lowery (Cracker, Camper van Beethoven), Matt Wilson (Trip Shakespeare), and Steve Steve Schiltz (Longwave) for subsequent Magnet releases. Brian Charles is the owner of Zippah Recording Studio where he has produced and engineered excellent artists including Chad Stokes (Dispatch), The Sheila Divine, and Weakened Friends.

Major Spark aims to bring a positive vibe with lyrics that are plainspoken, sharp-witted, and instantly memorable. But there’s more to Major Spark than catchy melodies, and “Beautiful Noise,” the title track from the group’s debut, combines a classic EDM beat with vintage guitars and keys with vocals that pay homage to Hope Sandoval and James Murphy. Brian’s production on the track is spellbinding, wholly immersive, and marvelously moody. Goodman’s sense of play producing the videos shines through. For “Beautiful Noise,” director Roger Metcalf blended studio moments with female circus artists performing high above the ground, radiating grace and power with every move.

Bruce Sudano’s career has spanned decades and genres, working with Tommy James; rocking with Alive N Kickin’ and Brooklyn Dreams; writing hit songs for Donna Summer, Michael Jackson, and Dolly Parton. He even started up Purple Heart Recording Company to support the next generation of musicians. Like the morning glory flower, love grows in its full potential, as a new sunrise, but one can never know the course of its own life – how long will love last and if or when it will end in its own sunset. the song is inspired by the Morning Glory climbing shrub that grows in Sparx’s garden in his countryside home. touched by the delict beauty of the blossoming flower as nature awakes from its winter sleep into spring, that is filled with potential as a new starting point for all. In the song the Morning Glory flower is a delicate symbol of love that forever holds the memory of a purple breezy spring for as far as eye can reach the sky. This song is Jerome’s 3rd released single taken from his upcoming debut album. In this song Jerome displays his take about love, a love who knows no boundaries.

Four elements interact with each other, in a free-form creative process where a piece of footage, a text phrase, moments from everyday life, or world events are allowed to interact with each other and trigger the creation of a piece of music in no specific order. The role of the artist is just to be available and willing to observe and translate this process into a piece of music.

This particular piece is an experiment around the antithesis of the concepts of elevation and fall and how the two coexist during moments of exploration. Apodimos is a Greek word and means the one who leave far from home.

Harriet Chung is an international singer, actress, and award-winning performer. She has appeared in The Phantom of the Opera (Toronto), Cats (Germany), The King and I, Iron Road, Fiddler on Fire, among others. Harriet played the title role in the award-winning musical Golden Lotus for which she received a Best Actress nomination in Hong Kong.

Manuela Verbeek is a classically trained Dutch cellist and has performed and recorded with artists from various genres such as Blaudzun, Flor d’Luna and Paceshifters, and currently focusses on creating original neoclassical solo work.

This song is heavily inspired by synthpop and atmospheric but minimalistic synth use, yet the drums are inspired by the “big beat” and “jungle” era – but we did try to keep it in line to not go full on Prodigy or Chemical Brothers on it of course… It had to be a blend between the genres synthpop, triphop and synthpop – and above all stay poppy/catchy. The chord scheme was built up to be dramatic, yet trying to be accessible enough as well to touch hearts and minds.

From a lyric standpoint this track can be read as a love song or a song about humanity trying to get a grip and make it rhyme, sing the song again, listen to each other again vs all the left/right and black/white thinking… We wrote it as a love song, we wrote it because our heart sinks when we see images or conversations online & offline… Let us hope we can make it rhyme.

“Sleepin’ with My Friendz” is the second single released from “Looney Tunez”, the new album from Tsunamiz, Bruno Sobral’s alter ego.

After the intense and explosive “Magickal Seeds”, “Sleepin’ with My Friendz” showcases a more laid back and melodic side of the portuguese artist and producer with a free love psychadelic rock hymn mixed with some urban intricate drum beats and a grandiose closing segment.

According to Tsunamiz: “This track sort of sounds like if Kurt Cobain made a Bob Marley song produced by Kanye West. I have no musical prejudices. This is the main reason why I’m still passionate about composing and producing music”.

The video was directed by Realish’ Films and features the skater Andreia Luz. The song and album are available on digital stores.
