„how to live“ is the anthem for everyone and everything slowly coming back to life – re-learning how to live…

After having a little TikTok viral hit with „switch places“, LEEPA was just nominated for the biggest national newcomer radio award and is starting to make her first international steps (Performed alongside Milky Chance, VICE and ID featuring her as one to watch, A&R worldwide pushing her a lot etc.). After achieving all these things, that felt like super surreal to her, she was confronted with the world coming back to life and came to the realization: “i’ve been holding myself back – i forgot how to live” – this is her personal emotional outburst and it feels as intimate and relatable as never before. Join her little coming-of-age roadtrip and make it your own soundtrack of the “new normal” we’re all facing…

“”Mien” is a story about a killer who’s ready to chase his next victim. Trip-Hop style with hypnotic singing and lyrics that can put us inside the horror story! Are you strong enough to experience this adventure, or you’ll just skip it?”

Conceptually a song about a stalker, who wants to play cat and mouse mentally with their victim.

KKsings – Nothing at all (Video)

Categories: Rock, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“This pure Rock single is like a blooming flower. While being simple and almost silent at the beggining, it gradually becomes more complicated and louder towards the end. Carefully arranged sound, with dominating guitar chords and lyrics of deep meaning. The artists have also done great work on visuals and we recommend to watch their clip too.”

Shontelle – Sanctify (Video)

Categories: Features, Pop, Pop Features, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , |

“The expressive side of Shontelle’s music has always been its cinematic accompaniment. Singing violins, simple but catchy rhythm do their job and make you move in time with the melody. One can feel how an atmospheric stream of emotions bursts out of the vocalist’s chest, which captivates the listener with energy!”

“Выразительной стороной музыки -Shontelle- всегда было её кинематографичное сопровождение. Поющие скрипки, простой, но запоминающийся ритм делают своё дело и заставляют вас двигаться в такт с мелодией. Чувствуется, как из груди вокалистки вырывается атмосферный поток эмоций, который очаровывает слушателя своей энергетикой!”

Artist said about this song: “This is a song inspired by my time living in Ireland. With elements of traditional Irish Folk music, tells the story of many people carrying the love for Ireland even being away. It’s a song for all the emigrants and for all that have the opportunity to live there. Featuring Chanele McGuinness.”

Dylan Cox- The Comet (Video)

Categories: Rock, The Latest, Video|Tags: , |

“A mysterious work filled with melancholy and light nostalgia. Conceptual, deeply meaningful work in the Folk genre, with a wide field for thought, thoughtful text and a strong emotional message.”

“Загадочное, наполненное меланхолией и лёгкой ностальгией произведение. Концептуальная, насыщенная глубоким смыслом работа в жанре Folk, с широким полем для размышлений, вдумчивым текстом и сильным эмоциональным посылом. ”

-Nagamag.com

“The Comet” is home as a moving object: the love we have for another or a place and how it moves, how it changes. What the song confronts and achingly accepts is the built-in loss that comes with loving, the fact that we will in some way or another lose whom or what we love, or we as loved people will be lost by another. A comet briefly occupies the sky as a rare passing, it leaves, and in that departure promises a return in some impossible and inhuman time form. What’s “too easy” in the chorus is to let the anticipatory grief of loss outshine the miracle of finding home in another, in finding family, in the first place. The song is a declaration of love, but also a deeply autobiographical reflection on Dylan’s life, who was adopted by a different family in his teens.

The song was written in one of the byzantine-art-deco tiled bathrooms that adjoin the palatial rooms of La Villa Magnan, in the southwest of France. Dylan often performed there to experiment with the enormous acoustic sounds of singing in big rooms. Part of the bigness of the vocals and the string-like melodies of the post-choruses, in this song and others, comes from these spaces, as well as the giant “orangerie” of the villa, a room originally built to nurse orange trees in the cold of winter. Dylan trained his voice and rehearsed there for over two years.

The music video, co-directed by Dylan and photographer Melvin Israel, is another experimentation with metaphors. Dylan created a 40 meter long piece of fabric and dyed it yellow to mimic a scarf of his that was a gift from a close friend. In the mythological looking landscape of the Spanish coastline, dancers Hortense de Gromard and Pierre Lamour choreograph a means of approaching each other. They hold each end of the fabric, slowly tracing a path towards a comet-like center where they finally meet.

Accompanying the new single is a stylish official music video directed and edited by Artist Named CHI. The video parodies the “Steve Urkel” character and 90’s classic movie “Friday”.

John William Richard – Song for a Ghost (Video)

Categories: Neoclassical, The Latest, Video|Tags: , |

“-John William Richard- wrote a real fairy tale story, like Alice in Wonderland, immerse yourself in the rabbit Nora. Melodic piano, so calm and meditative, soothes and beautifies. Beautiful, warm and a little melancholic, dive into a beautiful story created by the author.”

“-John William Richard- написал настоящую сказку, слушая которую ты, словно Алиса из Страны Чудес, погружаешься в кроличью нору. Мелодия пиано, такая спокойная и медитативная, манит тебя, успокаивает и убаюкивает. Прекрасное, доброе и немного меланхоличное погружение в красивую историю созданную автором.”

-Nagamag.com

Drawing influences from the likes of Olafur Arnalds, Erased Tapes and Erland Cooper as well indie artists such as Wolf Alice and War On Drugs, John William Richards unveils his final single ahead of his debut album release, with a stunningly animated video from Rachael Olga Lloyd.

https://johnwilliamrichard.bandcamp.com/

“When John and I first talked about making the video he told me he had based the whole album on his beautiful old collection of photos. I used this for inspiration, recreating the items from the photos like the chairs, gramophone, boat and headphones.” explains Rachel, “I wanted the whole video to feel like you were chasing these memories from the photos in an attempt to connect with the people there in the past. But the memories like the rooms start to break down and we can sadly never truly connect with the people in them as they are just out of reach. If you watch carefully you can catch these ghosts disappearing into the shadows of the rooms!”

Often things come full circle. As a child John William Richard’s love affair with music began as a classically trained musician, with hours spent studying both the piano and cello. However a lifetime has been spent elsewhere, from, amongst other things, fronting a new romantic group, managing artists, starting a label and running a nightclub. With the release of his debut album, Song for a Ghost, this November, John William Richard returns to the rigour of the Classical tradition, mixing that with flashes of contemporary electronica, creating something that is both intimate and breathtakingly cinematic.

“I think in film images when I write and as the world comes into focus the scene emerges and the internal director takes over. But really it was not until the tracks started coming that I got more confident in how it might work out. The title track, Song For A Ghost, however gave me the key to unlock the vision of an album based on memories from various childhoods mixed with a cinematic imagining of their performance. As the recording developed, the more focussed these all became”

https://www.instagram.com/john_william_richard/

Much of the recording was done in his home studio in Bath, but from early on one of his main concerns was to breathe some organic life into. To get the piano sound he wanted he decamped to the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales.

“I set off to Rockfield in search of the grand piano sound to replace some of the main piano parts. This proved a success but a challenge musically as by then I had managed to get some great cello and trumpet parts played by Michelle Packman in LA and Ryan Svendesen in San Francisco respectively. Playing to a grid is fine but I do like the music to move fractionally and almost stumble where needed, so to reproduce that after the fact so to speak is fun to say the least!”

With over 20 compositions recorded and ready to go, and a growing list of collaborators, both home and abroad, including the introduction of Bruno Ellingham (Massive Attack, UNKLE) to mix the record, John William Richard’s return to his musical roots is taking on a new life of its own.

Lerocque – No Good (Video)
