PINEO & LOEB team up with NY-based hip-hop artist FUEG and UK saxophonist Ellie Sax for their newest release, "Good Vibe Feeling," a genre-bending track that is sure to be the star of any night out. With an infectious sax top-line, smooth hip-hop vocals, and a groovy instrumental, these talented artists bring the elements that create a literal good vibe no matter the occasion. Sampling Canadian disco artist Estiban, PINEO & LOEB reach into the past to find the future which creates appeal for a wide variety of listeners, setting the stage for "Good Vibe Feeling" to become this fall's party time anthem. If there were any doubt as to its danceability, check out the video of 70-year-old dancing queen Andrea Bolley, aka the 6Mom jamming to the track in the streets of LA. The track perfectly represents the sound of PINEO & LOEB's earlier releases, which got support from BBC Radio 1, and Virgin Radio and led them to remixing for the likes of Grouplove and Olivia O'Brien.

If it weren't for a schedule mix-up, Canadian duo PINEO & LOEB might never have joined forces. The two artists were booked for the same show, but both were left to play with only 1 time slot available. Instead of duking it out for the single slot, they decided to do a back-to-back set and haven't looked back since. Some of their most popular original releases include "Daydreaming," "Circles," and "Body Right." Hip hop extraordinaire FUEG makes up one-half of the duo 4AM and has been diligently honing his craft since 2015. His most recent release "The Vibe" with Fresh Mode via Sony Music has clocked over 5M streams on Spotify to date. On the other hand we have Hed Kandi artist and Nikki Beach resident Ellie Sax, who has been captivating clubs and festivals around the world with her saxophone performances. Electronica duo BYLJA is releasing their debut EP Sojourn on the 24th of September via Springstoff. On the EP, listeners will find ‘Unity & Division’ as well as the previously released singles, ‘Rings Of Eradication’ and ‘Another State Of Matter (featuring Rumpistol)’. For the old-school listeners, the EP will also be released on vinyl. With their chilled sound, the duo have received support from several unique publications including Comeherefloyd, VENTS Magazine, Rock & Pop and Bands Of Tomorrow. The duo have made themselves at home on stage, appearing at several of Denmark’s biggest festivals including

Spot Festival, Uhørt Festival, Smukfest, and Stella Polaris, as well as sharing a stage with well-known acts such as Maribou State and Lydmor. Offstage, the duo have also provided official remixes for German duo KIDSØ and Czech duo teepee.

Born and based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Marchel Mørk and Emil Aagaard met each other at a school musical and bonded over their love of cheese and synthesizers. They formed BYLJA in 2018, where they would explore the inspiring sounds of Jon Hopkins, Christian Löffler and Boards of Canada in their music. The Sojourn EP sits closely to these influences, drawing parallels to the works of Kiasmos, Rival Consoles and Bonobo.

Building a futuristic universe with their atmospheric tones, the listener is drawn into the vast, awe-inspiring chasms of space and sound created by BYLJA. It’s within this melancholic tinged world that we find Sojourn, delicately hanging in the balance and providing a light, escapist cheer to the soundscapes. Be prepared to be lulled into a deep reverie as the mesmerizing forward-moving beats keep all entranced in their wake.

During quarantine, I had to make a trip to the grocery store. I met an elderly man
who struck up a conversation with me. We almost seemed to be kindred spirits.
He began the conversation with “Life is hard when you outlive all the ones
you love.”

It seemed like a bit of a quick start to a conversation, but I could tell he
just needed someone to talk to. After talking for a while, I felt this sense that he had
that the world at large had forgotten about him. But, he had created a plan to travel
the world on a train he had read about. He could work on the train and it would
take him across the world. He was amidst planning his way out.

Which are the genres that describe your music style better?

Anton Commissaris:
Jazz - vocal, with notes of blues, soul, rhythm and blues, and gospel styles.


Nagamag:
Few words about your musical background and career?

Anton Commissaris:
I am a Jazz composer, pianist, and vocalist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I released my first EP - On A Bright Note - in February 2021. I have a new single - Lonely Bay - released on September 24, 2021, and a second EP - Out of the Blue - coming out in October 2021.

Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Anton Commissaris:
I had heard music on the radio but the first time I felt a true connection was when at about 9 years old, I listened to an album by Joe Cocker - With a Little Help from My Friends. Cocker's voice was raw, bluesy, and powerfully emotional. It struck a chord with me. Intrigued, I began to play the record over and over. Two songs, in particular, stood out for me - the title track - With a Little Help from My Friends - and - She Came in Through the Bathroom Window. I didn't realize it at the time, but these were both Lennon-McCartney covers. I would later become a huge Beatles fan, impressed particularly by the fact that they composed, played, and sung their own music.

How did you become a fan of Jazz music?

Anton Commissaris:
My mother was into Jazz music and she played a lot of records that I picked up on when I was young. When I was learning the piano at an early age, she also had Jazz sheet music laying around that I would learn how to play. I remember, in particular, being impressed by - Smoke Gets in Your Eyes. During my college years, I picked up on Frank Sinatra and many of the other great singers of the American Song Book. As an alternative to all the other standard pop music of the day, we would play this at parties and have a lot of fun, while others were somewhat confused by our retro tastes. Then after, playing classical piano for a number of years, I drifted back into Jazz and fell in love with that style of music all over again.

Many artists listen to genres that they are not producing music for. Which track is your favorite that is NOT similar to yours?

Albanian born XHOANA X takes her dark, Eastern European heritage very seriously. From an upbringing of one of the most tolerant spiritual cultures in the world, comes a unique style of art, with a mixture of freedom, rebellion and heroism.

The relaxed form of culture from Albania is the driving force here. You are in the darkest little corner of your room. And yet, this is where you find that you are most comfortable. Although perhaps you also find yourself a bit surprised at the ease in which you exist here.

The unexpected seems natural.

The rich enthralling darkness is the vibe.

Following in the footsteps of early musical influences the likes of Massive Attack and ‪Portishead, XHOANA’s music takes us on a spellbinding journey, as if we are preparing for a series of pagan rituals based on mystical beliefs.

Make no question here, she is the high priestess, and in full control of the ritual. The journey is a web in which we are caught, but you’ll find it hard to turn your ears away. You are trapped in a web of intrigue and sensuality while a neo noir movie plays in your head.

Her look and fashion is no less captivating, additionally filled with occasional David Lynch-esque twists and turns. Although her main ambition has always been on developing her musical recording career, XHOANA has also worked both as an actress, influencer, and model.
