More than Grönemeyer and currywurst: The 32-year-old singer and songwriter SOUKOU also hails from Bochum and has been making music for over 18 years. She started with Gospel and Hip Hop. Then from 2007 and at the tender age of 19, she conquered the clubs of Berlin as Ena Wild with techno and electro beats. SOUKOU’s musical palette is as varied as the colors of the rainbow: She works as a songwriter for hit productions, has toured with various circus productions (for which she wrote the soundtracks herself) by international companies (such as Cirk la Putyka, Base Berlin, Analog the Company in AUS, CZ, GER, NL, AUT, DNK, IT), and released a one-take acoustic album titled “A Color”. And it was all self-published. Her 90s pop roots continue to shape SOUKOU’s style and the label pop remains a compliment for the singer. Because making music that is loved by many is no shame at all. Whether synthpop or Berlin pop: Ena refracts her passion for life in her lyrics – light, dark and especially colorful.

London, UK: January 29th, 2021 – Rising Nashville-based singer songwriter Ivory Layne announces the release of her debut EP ‘Confetti’ today, and releases mesmerising music video for the title track.

Shot in her own home while in quarantine in Nashville, the music video for ‘Confetti’ resonates with Ivory’s love of movie soundtracks and captures the stirring ethereal ode to moving on from ‘the party that was so hard to leave’. The quarantined-inspired music video was directed by artists Aaron Campbell and Gatton with full art direction, styling and editing duties courtesy of Ivory herself. You can watch the video here

Ivory explains, “I wanted something colourful that we could feasibly bring to life in the confines of my place. We created ‘the party that was so hard to leave’ from the bridge of Confetti with cake, streamers, and glitter that refuses to help pay rent but somehow insists on sticking around.”

Set for release on the 18th of February 2021, the ‘Confetti EP’ is a collection of powerfully emotive songs that shows just why Billboard tipped her to become “the new Adele” and places her in the sphere of contemporary pop polymaths like Maggie Rogers.

Produced by Nick Atkinson and Edd Holloway aka The Barn Productions (Lewis Capaldi, Gabrielle Aplin, Dean Lewis) Jimmy Robbins (Keith Urban, Maren Morris, Miranda Lambert) and Ivory herself, the Confetti EP is Ivory’s first UK release since signing with Justin Timberlake’s development company Villa 40 and showcases the unique voice and masterful songwriting that caused Timberlake to sit up and take notice of Ivory’s talents.

Gregor Klamra is the alter ego of Hamburg and Berlin based musician Felix Weigt.

During his childhood in the early nineties, he first got into contact with electronic music by watching eurodance music clips in German television. Also, synth-driven movie soundtracks caught his attention.

He then went more into acoustic music by learning to play the piano, and after finishing school, he studied upright bass at the conservatory. Since that time, he plays in theater shows, does studio work and live gigs with different artists and is a member of the Indie pop group Die Höchste Eisenbahn.

Apparently, he never lost connection with his early love to electronic music so that one day, maybe seduced from a long night in a nightclub or at a festival, he started to feel the urge to produce his own version of progressive and melodic house and techno in his spare time. Often more on the downtempo side, he focuses on melancholic chords, long build-ups and catchy melodies. Tied to his flat due to the corona lockdown in spring 2020 he finally found the impulse to finish some of his track that he is releasing now…

« Rave » is a kind of slow-motion instrumental techno, dark and beautiful.
The piano with a soft sound is mixed with a mesmerising synth. The two trace a dark and marvellous path
among dissimilar beings who commune though a slow and sensual dance.

We dive into the night when the bodies dance and exult. We frame in slow motion to better capture
and admire this feeling of freedom and communion.

The music video is created and directed by Arhur Valverde. It is taken directly from his Fashion Film
« Rave » (released in 2018) for which Thomas Valverde had previously composed a first arrangement of « Rave ».
The two brothers regularly works together.

Slaine is “Chasing Ghosts” of a failed relationship in his stripped-down, new performance video. Evoking stories of the struggles and pain he experienced with a loved one while they both were healing from addiction, “Chasing Ghosts” exemplifies the honesty in Slaine’s writing, and sets the stage for his forthcoming LP, The Things We Can’t Forgive.

The video is directed by ILL MANNERED Films, and their vision allows you to fully digest Slaine’s lyrics while also living into the musicianship The Arcitype gave to “Chasing Ghosts.”

All the music he’s ever listened to has influenced him in one way or another, especially the 80s and 90s sound.

Taught by his father how to play the drums at the age of 7, he fell in love with this instrument. In a chaotic world, he is constantly looking for a warm sound which comes from the positive as well as peaceful places and people. He’s also looking for freedom and mood. The perfect mood.

The pop music influence can be felt when collaborating with other artists from this genre.

This song was written to reflect the feeling of descending into madness and being swallowed entirely from the darkness. This is a feeling that has stuck with me since I had ICU delirium caused by an infection in my neck after surgery. It’s difficult to write and share this with everyone but it is also sort of cathartic. I really appreciate you watching and listening.

Oregon instrumentalist Joshua Carlton toured the world with post rock band This Patch of Sky for the last decade. This lead him to compose music for television and film such as ‘Brand, a Second Coming’ (a documentary film on actor Russell Brand and his battle with drug addiction), and the Vice channel. He has also been featured in the McDonald’s Ramadan commercial, as well as large brands such as Petco. Joshua’s excited to share his new solo project. “This is an album that I absolutely had to write” he says of 2021 debut ‘Moonlight Under the Black Flag’. Joshua was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in February of 2020 and found solace in purging his emotions through the music he was composing. “This music is truly my heart, and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it”.
