After Innellea played most of the tracks of the compilation in live sets and podcasts, people have asked for them a lot. “We live in a world dominated by fast pace. The ability to access anything, anywhere, at any time leads to an enormously short survival time - even for releases in the music industry.” That's why Innellea has chosen to not release the songs immediately to create something that can keep its shine for a longer time as a complete piece of art. To finish the past and initiate the future, Innellea decided now to release some of this tracks. As icing on the cake he made a limited edition of a fair trade, organic cotton long sleeve shirt in the course of the release.

About Innellea:
Innellea – a neologism; created in reference to musical reinvention. Neither restrained nor bound by conventions, Innellea’s visions and impressions are visibly transferred into music. Influenced by melodic trends in electronic music he combined the roots of Techno in a very creative way, and came up with his unique and abstract sound. He took the scene by storm and, having been amongst Groove Magazine’s best newcomers in 2017, left a dusty cloud in his wake. Shortly after, his tracks - with a focus on detailed rhythms - were being heard on the world’s finest stages, proving to be a secret weapon for many. As a result, productions on the Afterlife label like „Viglians“ or „The World Returns“ attracted artists. After massive releases, Innervisions being just one of them, fans around the world began to follow suit. Live sets with unreleased tracks created a global hype and underlined the diversity of Innellea’s sound. Whenever in need of driving spheres, impulsive vibes and melodic touches of genuine feelings - Innellea’s music will be there. Just in time to broaden your mindset.

Yuanfen, Currently based in Ljubljana (Slovenia) and London (UK), Yuanfen is a project of two friends, collaborating across borders. They officially formed in 2019, following a couple of collaborative projects and a shared mutual interest in creating something unique.

Expect to hear dance-infused downtempo indie that draws from a broad spectrum of influences—from UK underground music to dream pop. Think washed out guitars; crisp, swung percussion; hard-hitting in the low end; airy synths, pads, and textures to tie everything together.

With a powerhouse collaboration with UK-based artist Silke, blending in perfectly with a post-rock production and Rider’s rootsy vocals, this EP is nothing short of hip and groovy. The three heavily synth-based tracks seem to be telling a series of chronological stories, starting with the contemplative and atmospheric ‘Dive Deep’. The second track ‘Babylon a Burn’ furthers the theme with a more upbeat cinematic music, leading to climactic crescendos in its penultimate track ‘Rise from the Ashes’.

Aftrlyfe’s music is reminiscent of the trip hop vibes of Massive Attack, and his influences also include FKA Twigs, Run the Jewels, and 6Lack, among others. When asked for a defining album that influenced him, he answered Radiohead’s ‘In Rainbows’, which was a sonic illustration of emotions that made him feel beyond what was known before.

In this new atmospheric opus, pioneering composer and artist of the transcendent – Steve Roach explores the confluence of texture, tonality, sonic abstraction, continuity and space with a set of 6 interconnected paintings in motion. The spirituality of sound is central within these emotional landscapes with infinite horizons. In the way a visual artist mixes their colors and utilize the natural light-infused ambience of the studio to support the piece as it evolves, Roach initiated these mystical sonic states under the influence of the late hours at night. Within the shroud of natural darkness and a few low level lights in the studio supporting the creative flow, these paintings in the dark were born. Steve often finds parallels in his creative process to that of a painter or sculptor and aspired in this direction before discovering electronic music as his main form of artist expression. Hagl by Selsom is an emotive "morning" piano theme with delightful harmonies and beautiful performance. A recording which captures the performance moments of the artist like been sit next and enjoy the silence, where everything filled only from the beauty of the notes.

The Norwegian language has 100 words relating to snow. Hagl, meaning hail, is part of Selsom's one year long project releasing one piano lead Ambient / Neo-classical composition a month. Hagl is a pacy yet mellow solo piano piece, imitating the small, bouncing hail stones, beautiful performed on a Yamaha U1 upright.

Selsom is the composer alias of songwriter and producer Stian Vedøy. Hailing from a windswept west coast island in Norway, with not much else to do other than playing music, Vedøy started having piano lessons as a 6 year old. Having given most of his adult years too his indie folk pop project, Firewoodisland, he has now decided that it is time create an outlet for his piano lead compositions. With hints of misty and organic sounding synths and other sonic nuances, Selsom takes you to an atmospheric and cinematic state of deep focus.

Artist shared few words with us about this track:
"The premise of 'Lesser Lights' was to create a narration, emotionally raw and personal, hopefully the sounds come through as it was intended.

Sketches were mainly done in Melbourne tram 64, where I spent a couple of hours a day commuting. Much inspiration was found in the railway hum and clunk, as from the co-travellers in the window seat. The sound of the album although preserved for the most part, occasionally developed into sections perverse enough to be noticed.

A greater deal of inspiration was drawn from Abul Mogard, Rafael Anton Irisarri and Loscil, whose music I listened to every other day. The tracks where then recorded and mixed in an unforeseen lockdown in mid 2020."

Few words about the artist:
Salar Niknafs (PhD) is an Iranian composer, musician and visual artist based in Melbourne Australia. Salar has a fascination for ambient, drone and post-minimalism music and in his art he primarily engages with experimental aesthetic forms. His recordings mainly utilise guitars (bowed or plucked), synthesisers, strings and hand drums.
