“Одно из самых необычных и трогательных произведений, которые нам удалось услышать. Эта песня своеобразный авторский реквием, которая была написана Девидом за несколько месяцев до его кончины. To All Who’s Out There навсегда останется в наших сердцах.”

-Nagamag.com

After releasing his debut album “Pollywogs”
which he wrote and recorded with his twin brother David.
Titi Woo returns with a brand new song – a farewell song
that’s been written by his twin brother – David and was recorded
and musically produced by Ori Shlezinger in Newtone studios.

David knew that he was terminally ill and felt the need to farewell
and say his final words.

This song is dedicated to all the people who exist on planet earth and
therefore comes the name : “To All Who’s Out There”.

Furthermore, he asked from his twin brother Jody that the lyrics
from the first verse of the song would be engraved on his gravestone
and so it was.

The animation for the music video was created by Anastasia Miasnikova
as it brings to life the paintings David created while staying at the hospital
prior to his death.

This is his voice and those are his final words.

“Carefully composed melodies with lyrics from an experienced singer. Townsend drives you up to his point of view in an expressive way of singing. Just sit back and relax!”

This song is about the post-breakup-hookups that usually happen for a few months after a relationship ends. It's hard to just stop seeing each other completely and usually both parties play a role in instigating. In my case, even though both of us were guilty of texting each other the "come over" text, I couldn't help but feel responsible.

Becoming Young – For My Father (Video)

Categories: Best of 2020, Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , , |

“Becoming Young in an ode for father, through his soulful heartwarming vocals sings reflective in a way which hits you right deep inside. A beautiful song rich in emotional moments and a sound quality which feels like a feather in your skin.

-Nagamag.com

Boulder/Nashville-based pop artist Becoming Young, aka Brandon Calano, has just released the folk/pop ballad, “For My Father.” Stream it HERE.

https://music.becomingyoung.band/for-my-father

Lyrically, this song is an honest assessment of a father’s trapped circumstance from a son’s perspective. Musically, it’s Becoming Young’s first piano-driven single.

Calano gets reflective and direct with lines like, “I see your heart and I see your soul, there’s nothing as pure as the man you are. Take a breath, let your burden go, when darkness comes, I’ll still love you so.” Anyone with a close relationship to his or her father will resonate with the song’s empathetic message.

“For My Father” bridges Becoming Young’s most recent pop album, Feeling Single, to a more serious body of work in his forthcoming record, The Songs I Wrote You, which begins releasing on January 1, 2021. The expansion from pop to the singer-songwriter genre began in January of 2020 when he teamed with producer Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Vance Joy) on three singles for the new album.

For those not familiar with Brandon Calano, he writes and records under the pseudonym, Becoming Young. It’s a name he says embodies his journey to let go of everything he is not—and become who he was meant to be all along.

Becoming Young has earned a loyal following, playing sold-out shows from Atlanta to Portland, and describes his evolving sound as Lauv meets Glass Animals. Yet others have likened him to Vance Joy and Dermot Kennedy. Though all of those descriptors ring true, the Nashville via Boulder singer/songwriter has established an enticing pop/folk sound.

Becoming Young’s most recent album, Feeling Single, explores the modern dating landscape as told by an emotionally-reckless millennial. It features the trap-pop banger “High,” a bouncy retro-bop, “The Night I Met You,” and the swagalicious, “Cherry Twist.”

Marie Minet – Attendre l’été (Video)

“Marie Minet with her song Attendre l’été, through a stunning minimal video clip which hypnotize you quickly and a lush of atmospheric melodic harmonic lines, a beautiful choreography with soft brilliant sound mix, and a sensual heartwarming vocal performance with a goosebumps chorus, engages us wonderful into a memorable song. A song we return back to re-listen and add in your favorite lists. ”

-Nagamag.com

ENG:

A clear and mesmerising voice. Powerful lyrics with nostalgic touches. Deep melodies soften by Cape Verdean influences. This is what makes Marie Minet’s mixing of genres is as sublime as it is innovative. In her raw but poetic way, she tells life stories that echo her generation.

Her first single, “Attendre l’Été,” available in November 2020, navigates between French chanson, spoken word, World Music, and subtle references to the classical compositions of her ancestor Edward Grieg. It’s a song that revives childhood memories while questioning the innocence of youth and the disillusionment of adulthood.

Her first album, “Clair Obscur”, is filled with profound lyrics from her brother Paul. She composed the music in collaboration with Jon Luz, a master of Cape Verdean music who composed for Césaria Évora, bringing a Lusafone accent to the French chanteuse. He also produced the album, which is expected to be released in spring 2021.

“-Mark Vickness- with his song -Grek Skye- , the #2 installment on his new album -Interconnected, offer us a beautiful acoustic guitar experience with sound clarity which tickles listener ear and bring him in a calm mood. ”

-Nagamag.com

A totally unique artistic vision, Mark Vickness Interconnected approach musical creation as a solemn opportunity to express the interconnectedness of humanity, and of all things, through the universal language of music.

Three years after releasing his debut solo CD, Places, composer/guitarist, Mark Vickness releases Interconnected featuring four new solo modern fingerstyle compositions and four original pieces with his new ensemble, also called Interconnected. In addition to Mark on acoustic guitars, the ensemble brings together two time Grammy winning violinist, Mads Tolling, cellist Joseph Hebert, Dan Feiszli on upright and electric bass and tabla virtuoso, Ty Burhoe.

Together these musicians express a fiery, original vision of Instrumental Acoustic Fusion music. About the unique musical approach, Mark says "The ensemble is a perfect vehicle for connecting different styles, eras and cultures."

The material on Interconnected was born of deep reflection on the inner workings of life; childhood traumas, modern struggle, simple joys, profound sadness, lived wisdom and the joy of awareness. Interconnected is #outnow

https://markvickness.hearnow.com/

Quote From the Artist:

"The music on this recording is intended to convey interconnectedness, the reality that we live in an interconnected, interdependent world, that we are all one human race. Instrumental music is an ideal means of expressing this because it is a universal language. This ensemble is comprised of musicians who are capable of a wide range of styles from different cultures and different eras. I worked hard to write this music with interconnectedness in mind, within each piece individually and in the relationships between the pieces themselves. Some of the pieces on Interconnected come from a deeply personal place. For Every Child was written for every person who has either experienced or known someone who has gone through the trauma of losing their innocence to childhood sexual abuse as I did before age ten. One Day Over A Thousand is dedicated to all those who lost their lives to Covid-19, and to my dear friend Holli Ross, who died while this piece was being written."

Mark Vickness began his musical training on piano at age six. The road from there to the composer/modern fingerstyle guitarist he is today included a bachelor's and master's degree in composition, studies in classical piano, guitar, sitar and tabla, years as a performing jazz guitarist, composer and arranger, several film scores and three decades of recording and performing as the instrumental half of the acoustic fusion duo, Glass House which has released three CD's, two EPs and a host of widely viewed YouTube videos. Mark's performing experience spans a huge range of genres from free improv to West African drum and dance ensembles, from Motown and funk bands to big band jazz and orchestral conducting. Schooled in composition by Pulitzer Prize winning composer, Mel Powell, Mark has recorded and performed with world renowned musicians including two time Grammy winners, The Turtle Island String Quartet, legendary bassist, Michael Manring, and guitarists Alex DiGrassi and Don Ross.

John Dennis – Board Game Money (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“For people in search of classic american rock music hearings Board game money is an exquisite example coming from a young artist that having been deeply inspired by folk's greatest like Dylan and Springsteen delivers smartly a memorable example with his own distinct character”

-Nagamag.com

John Dennis, a 27 year old Freeburg, IL native, moved to Nashville, TN in 2010 to pursue his unique place among the music there. Though his songs resonate with the influence of many of folk's greats--namely Dylan, Simon and Springsteen--his unique vocals, clever Midwestern-driven imagery, and 21st century socially commentative lyrics earn him his own distinct voice. In 2013 he was discovered by Dr. Bryan Clark of Rainfeather Records--a successful musician and producer in his own right. The pair worked together to complete John's first record with Rainfeather, "Eternity's Tree," which was released in 2014. The album features a colorful collection of Dennis' original work and displays strongly John's ability to deliver an enjoyable listening experience while not shying away from his characteristic weightiness and lyrical substance. In 2016, John, along with Clark and Rainfeather, recorded a follow up record entitled "Second Wind," which only built upon and deepened what was presented in his debut; and which marked a substantial and triumphant step forward for Dennis both artistically and personally. "Second Wind," was recorded at Plethoratone Studios in Brentwood, TN. Following its official release in 2017, Dennis began work on his third full length record: a concept album that will prove to be his most creatively ambitious project yet. “Mortal Flames,” recorded at Blackbird and Plethoratone studios, is slated for release in the early Spring of 2019.
