Lyrics of Strange New World – Escape
When I think of all the times that I’ve had
I remember first the ones I was sad
Ain’t it easy to forget what I have?
You right in front of me
wishing I was someone new
Being alone
A time better spent than with you
When I’m drained of chasing pain in new ways
When I yield myself to letting things change
Breaking through the haze that I used to know
Yearning for something much better
But where do I go?
Sunshine through grey, through the clouds of my daze
Going home
Who am I after the fifth clean slate?
Guess I’ll find out – I don’t think it’s too late
Grab my shoes and leave my past on its own
Running to nowhere
Escaping away, here I go
Feeling my way towards the right path
I go it alone
