Written on a rooftop during a rainy day’s sunset, this electronic/alt pop song’s atmospheric intro with the distinctive vocal bassline and the spoken words, leads to a verse with a uniquely beautiful vocal melody. The dominant vocoder effect in the bridge that follows, leads to the track’s peak. An uplifting second part where the beat gets busier, while the lyrics interpret the restart after accepting our evolution.

After the great success of ‘Berceuse’ — with radio plays from New York’s WQXR, to UK’s Scala radio, film synchronizations and beautiful playlist adds — it only felt natural to re-imagine this piece for my upcoming album ‘Fragmente’. While staying true to the original melody, this rework for string quartet and electronics shines a whole new light onto the quiet timbre of this gentle lullaby.

Berlin-based composer Felix Rösch blends his years of experience as a classical composer and his passion for experimental electronic music into colorful, carefully constructed arrangements and contemplative ambiences.

His music is inspired by contemporary classical composers like John Adams, Henryk Górecki, and Anders Hillborg as well as artists like Rival Consoles, Max Richter and Ben Frost.

His latest EP ‘Piano’ — out May 28 — meshes fluid piano improvisations with carefully constructed layers of analog synthesizers and delicate string arrangements. The EP was entirely produced live on YouTube. On Feb 3 the second single ‘Interlude II’ from ‘Piano’ was released. “This track started as a piano improvisation, where I was fascinated by the idea of stoically repeating the most rudimentary two-note chord possible. That simplicity felt very liberating like I just hit the bottom of something I still can't really describe. From there everything else fell into place pretty quickly. This is probably my favorite piece on this EP.” Felix says.

‘Piano’ follows 2020’s ‘MYA’ and ‘str:orchestra’, which were featured in Spotify’s Fresh Finds, Classical New Releases, and Not Quite Classical playlists, and were licensed to a global Burberry advertisement campaign.

Over the past ten years, his orchestral compositions have frequently been performed and recorded by world-renowned orchestras like the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg and the WDR Symphony Orchestra & Choir. He has won several awards and scholarships and his music can be heard in countless theater performances, audiobook soundtracks, and film scores.

Few words about your musical background and career?

Stickleback:
Started my music career playing in bands in my teens, having some success with funk/ hip-hop bands in the 90's, playing at Glastonbury Festival, Womad and various other venues around the UK and Europe. I quickly got into the electronic side of things and have been producing music ever since.

Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Stickleback:
The dance music scene in the UK during the 90's was a huge influence on me and I grew to love the electronic possibilities that were starting to open up around this time.

Many artists listen to genres that they are not producing music for. Which track is your favorite that is NOT similar to yours?

Throughout their illustrious career, the name Krewella has become known for hard-hitting and yet emotionally charged music. True to form, the Jahan and Yasmine sisters’ new body of work – “The Body Never Lies” is a shining example of their signature sound and artistic direction. Chiel Nugter is a Dutch composer who is master of both Spanish and classical guitar. His genre can be described as dreamy and melancholic music where you can be thrown back in time as a way of 100% years. In addition to the music he releases under his own name, he also makes electronic music under the name Sabora. Here he cuts the more dark side of his soul and the more dark side of how he can see society. In 2016 Chiel also wrote a piece for sypmhonieorkest Tourrmalijn in honor of the Commemoration of jews in camp Vught. In 2020, Chiel created works inspired by cultural-historical events and buildings related to the city for the municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch. His latest work is a neo-classical album, with only the main instruments classical guitar and violin.

Few words about your musical background and career?

Suzanne's Band:
Suzanne has always been involved in music in some way, shape or form such as choirs, ensembles and solo singing performances. In 2016, upon the urging of a friend, she started playing guitar and it opened the door to songwriting and public performances in a band setting. In 2017, she was moved to start her own music business Suzanne's Band with the focus of writing, producing and performing songs having a vintage sound along with heartfelt understandable lyrics; something sadly lacking in today's music environment. Listeners both young and old have been drawn in to the messages and the positive vibes. In just a few short years, she has grown an impressive fan base, a thriving You Tube channel, produced two Christmas singles, an EP, two albums and been nominated into the Grammy (Recording Academy) organization which is no small feat these days. She uses one band for recording and another band for public performances. She enjoys playing classic rock, pop and country along with her originals in her home state of Texas in the United States.

Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Suzanne's Band:
I remember as a toddler how much I loved to play records and sing along. Being a dancer too, my body loves to move with music.
When I retired, I wanted to do something every day that I wouldn't ever get tired of. Music was the one thing I knew was in my soul
and that I needed to bring out into the community.

Nagamag:
Do you do anything musically outside of your business?

Suzanne's Band:
Yes, I'm involved in two different groups. I play guitar or piano every Sunday with my church band. Every Monday, I'm part of an over 50 in age and also number of people that go out to all the assisted living and over 50 in age communities in our area and perform a one hour variety music show. This brings music to those who never get to go out and hear their favorite songs any more. These folks don't have radios any more or other electronics to hear music familiar to them.

"So Right" is a song that teases the emotions of “love at first sight” and the butterflies that come with those feelings. Shaun was in charge of the overall production, composition, and arrangement of the track. Yuna also participated in the composition, while coming up with the lyrics and narrative to drive this production home.

Asia's leading artist Shaun and Yuna met last October in a studio in LA and started their musical exchanges. Since then, they have continued to communicate steadily from their respective countries and today have released their joining masterpiece.

Shaun’s voice is strongly depicted through sensuous beats and deep sounds complemented with the snare, finger snaps, and kicks. In addition, Yuna's soft vocals captivate listeners on top of the fascinating guitar sound, completing the sensibility of "So Right."
